Referral
Before attending a consultation with our team, we require a referral from your GP or you can ask us for a self-referral form.

Initial Assessment
You will be invited to attend an assessment clinic at your choice of location, where you will see our multi-disciplinary team. You will have the opportunity to ask questions and together we can decide if surgery is right for you.

Pre-operative Assessment
You will undergo some preliminary tests to ensure you are fit enough to go ahead with surgery.

You will be seen by one of our consultant surgeons who will explain in detail the operation, and any associated risks. You will have the opportunity to ask further questions.

An endoscopy (an internal telescopic examination of the stomach) will be performed as part of the surgical assessment.

Surgery
If all assessments are satisfactory, you will be given a date for surgery.

Further information about the hospital stay and post-operative follow-up will be available.

Weight loss surgery is not currently funded by insurance companies and self-payment is necessary unless you are eligible for NHS funded surgery.
