Medical and Endocrine assessment

Pre-operative Investigations:
ECG
Blood tests

2. Gastroscopy and Surgical Consultation
- designed to ensure you have no contraindications to surgery and to give you the opportunity to discuss the operation and long-term outcomes fully with your surgeon

Appointment with:
Mr Justin Morgan MBChB MD FRCS Consultant Surgeon or
Miss Sally Norton MBChB MD FRCS Consultant Surgeon

Appointment Includes:
Pre-operative surgical assessment
Opportunity to discuss surgery in detail
Endoscopy (under light sedation if required) to ensure your stomach is healthy
Biopsies and histological assessment of any stomach abnormality detected.

3. Surgery
- designed to ensure you have a smooth admission, hospital stay and discharge

Admission to Spire Hosital, Bristol on morning of surgery
Pre and post operative consultation by consultant surgeon
Pre and post operative consultation by consultant anaesthest
Prosthesis (gastric band)
Overnight stay if required
Post operative X-ray  (morning after surgery or at post-operative visit) by consultant
radiologist
Surgeon & Anaesthetist fees

4. After the Operation

24 hour emergency phone number
