Dr Andrew Johnson MD FRCP

Dr Johnson is a consultant physician with a specialist interest in obesity, diabetes and endocrinology. He co-ordinates the comprehensive multi-disciplinary assessment of people considering obesity surgery, and where necessary manages their obesity-related medical problems including diabetes and high blood pressure, before, during and after their surgery.

As Avon Obesity Service he also provides ongoing advice and treatment for patients for whom surgery is not appropriate.

Specialist cardiologists, respiratory physicians and psychologists may also play a role in the pre-operative and post-operative care as required.
